1. Is Lapsenvahdit free of charge?

Yes. Our platform is free of charge. We are not taking any commission or fees for registration or messages between babysitters and families. Families in search for a babysitter may create a profile, search for available babysitters near them and contact suitable candidates to arrange an interview. Babysitters can create their profiles and wait to be contacted by the families.

2. Does Lapsenvahdit screen the babysitters?

Lapsenvahdit is a web platform that allows families to find a babysitter according to certain criteria that meet their needs. Everyone can register on the platform and we are not prescreening people beforehand. Lapsenvahdit is a social platform that brings people together, and it is the duty of a parent to arrange interviews, ask for references and make a choice to hire certain individual.

3. I forgot my password, how do I change it?

If you do not remember your password, click ‘request new password’ and you will get an email with a link to reset your password. If you do not see this email it might be in the junk folder. If it is not there, please contact Lapsenvadhit support team.

4. Do I need experience to become a babysitter?

Parents prefer to hire babysitters with some experience. If you happen to have no experience in babysitting we recommend asking among your friends or relatives if you could get some experience by babysitting their kids. It is also helpful to get references from your past experience and bring them to your interview. 

5. Is my personal data visible to others?

The data that you provide in your public profile is visible to other users of this platform. We do not require from you and do not store any sensitive data such as date of birth or credit card information. We need your address to show your approximate location on the map, but we do not show your exact address to other users. The safety of your personal data is of utmost importance to us and we strive to protect it as best as we can, you can read more about this in our privacy policy
